“It is deeply disappointing that the MTA’s proposed 2025-29 Capital Plan is not fully funded in the one-house budget released today,” said Carlo A. Scissura, President and CEO of the New York Building Congress.

“Without the necessary investment, tens of thousands of jobs, billions in economic output, and essential infrastructure improvements across New York are in jeopardy. The MTA’s plan would stimulate economic activity throughout all ten Regional Economic Development Council regions and deliver vital capital projects in New York City that would spur economic activity.

Albany lawmakers must come to the table with a plan to fully fund this program. New York’s future depends on it.”
