Statement on Federal Move to Cancel Congestion Pricing

“The withdrawal of federal support for congestion pricing is grossly shortsighted,” said our President & CEO Carlo A. Scissura, Esq.
“This is especially true with the financial uncertainties facing the building industry right now – from lurking tariffs to the pausing of IIJA funding. We simply cannot afford to put more capital infrastructure funding at risk and hurt the millions of daily commuters who deserve a modern and efficient transit system.
This program has been successful beyond anyone’s hopes in its first months. We will work with the Governor, the MTA and other stakeholders to ensure the program legally survives this threat.”
