“The New York Building Congress salutes State Senator Daniel Squadron on his impressive record of accomplishments during his tenure in Albany and wishes him great success in his future endeavors. Since being elected the youngest New York State Senator in history in 2008, Dan has been a positive force on an array of initiatives vital to his constituents, including the rebuilding of the World Trade Center, Lower Manhattan’s response to Superstorm Sandy, the creation of an NYU tech campus in Downtown Brooklyn and the development of public waterfront spaces in Brooklyn Bridge Park and on Governors Island. In addition, Dan was instrumental in securing more than $1 billion in federal funds to improve and expand public housing throughout the five boroughs. I have no doubt that Dan will continue to do incredible work and I look forward to working with him throughout his career,” said Carlo A. Scissura, President and CEO, New York Building Congress. .
