“The New York Building Congress applauds Governor Cuomo’s ‘Reimagine, Rebuild, Renew’ agenda, which puts the state on a great path toward accomplishing critical infrastructure projects,” said Carlo A. Scissura, President and CEO of the New York Building Congress. “The historic $306 billion infrastructure plan is precisely the kind of forward-thinking investment that New York needs to rebuild and recover from the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. The visionary proposal for the west side of Manhattan, including the newly announced Empire Station Complex and the replacement of the Port Authority Bus Terminal, will revitalize our strained public transit system and increase access for New Yorkers. From ambitious affordable housing goals, to the revitalization of our airports, to the extension of the Second Avenue Subway, to the development of nearly 100 large-scale renewable energy projects, to a robust green transmission grid, the Governor’s plans will put people back to work, revive this great state and build a better New York for all.”
