– B. Dean Angelakos and Cathy A. DelliCarpini have been named
Vice Presidents at the New York Building Congress, Chairman Jeffrey
M. Levy announced today. The Building Congress is a coalition of
contractors, architects, engineers, and labor that includes more
than 150,000 professionals and skilled workers employed in and around
New York City. For over 78 years, this coalition has helped shape
public policy with the goal of supporting and maintaining New York’s
economic improvement.

 

Mr. Angelakos joins the Building Congress as Vice President for
Policy and Programs. His experience includes, most recently, serving
for five years as Executive Assistant to the New York State Comptroller
where he developed community and inter-governmental outreach programs,
among other projects. Prior to 1995, Mr. Angelakos worked in the
Office of the New York City Deputy Mayor for Finance and Economic
Development, and as a policy analyst for the New York City Council/Speaker’s
Central Staff.

 

Ms. DelliCarpini will serve the Building Congress as Vice President
for Membership and Communications. Most recently, she served four
years as Press Secretary and Director of Public Affairs for the
New York City Department of Environmental Protection responsible
for media relations, environmental education, special events, and
managing the Agency’s innovative Web site. Previously, Ms.
DelliCarpini managed corporate communications for the Jamaica Water
Supply Company, and directed community relations for the Connecticut-
and New York-American Water Companies.
