Statement on Helene Recovery Efforts in Wake of Natural Disaster

A statement from our President & CEO Carlo A. Scissura, Esq:

“The devastation in the southeast caused by Hurricane Helene is heartbreaking, and the images border on the unimaginable. Our organization and our members not only send our deepest sympathies on the losses, pain, and suffering, we also stand ready to help — many are already doing so. Our industry’s commitment to building with an eye toward a sustainable future that recognizes superstorms are not once-a-century anymore has never been more urgent. We simply have no alternative. There is much work ahead, and our members sadly have experience in recovering, rebuilding, and reimagining, and that experience is much needed right now.
