Finance and Administration Assistant
The Finance and Administration Assistant will provide clerical and administrative support to the Senior Director, Finance and the Vice President, Administration. This is a full-time, non-exempt position that works a hybrid schedule. Early morning and evening attendance are mandatory for major events, breakfast forums, and assigned committee meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clerical and administrative support for New York Building Congress operations including but not limited to:
- Point person for accounts receivables and membership invoicing and payment receipts entry.
- Prepare and enter credit card deposits.
- Review Accounts payable review & preliminary processing.
- Track and report daily revenue totals to President/CEO.
- Maintain and organize filing systems for financial records.
- Maintain monthly corporate credit card statements for expense tracking and reconciliation.
- Assist in the preparation of two annual audits; and work with team to provide requested documents during audits.
- Handle additional tasks assigned by Senior Director, Finance and VP, Administration.
- Staff assigned committee meetings, breakfast forums, and major events throughout the year.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience providing administrative accounting support.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively is vital.
- Ability to handle and maintain confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- The ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
- Proficiency in Peachtree/Sage Accounting software, MS Office, and payroll software a plus.
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and integrity are required.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $60,000 – $70,000 annual salary (based on experience)
